A photo party game you can run between arrivals
A practical plan for a short, easy-to-explain game that fits around the rest of your evening.

The first half-hour of a party rarely starts all at once. Some people arrive early, others are still on their way, and nobody wants to miss dinner because a game has become an undertaking.
A small photo challenge gives early arrivals something to do while leaving space for everyone else to join the conversation.
Before anyone arrives
Choose one room or a few shared areas. Put private rooms out of bounds and move anything fragile that could be mistaken for a prop. The aim is to photograph objects where they are, not rummage through someone’s home.
Prepare three prompts for a homemade warm-up: something colourful, something round and something with a story. Have one example photo ready so you can explain the idea in a sentence.
Pair people up
Invite people to choose a partner, ideally someone they have not spoken to much yet. One person spots a possible match; the other takes the picture. Swap after each find. This pairing is a social format you organise yourself, not a team-scoring feature in Seek.
Give the warm-up about five minutes. A short limit makes joining feel manageable, and late arrivals can still take part in the next round.
Bring the photos back to the conversation
Ask each pair to show one find and explain why they chose it. Avoid turning every answer into a debate. If you want a winner, let the room choose its favourite interpretation separately from any app score.
Move into a Seek hunt if people want more
Use At home for the setting. Explorer suits a group that wants to keep chatting; Speed Rush makes a much brisker round. For in-app group play, everyone participating needs compatible access on iPhone, and group hunts are part of Seek+.
Check the join code and get everyone ready before starting. Leave a natural stopping point afterwards. A good party game earns another round rather than requiring one.
Explore Seek for party games for ways to take this idea into the app.
